Promise Dinner Canceled

One of the most successful community-wide dinners in Lansing has been canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis. Over the years the Lansing Promise has conducted exciting dinners featuring Magic Johnson, talent from the Lansing School District and the surrounding community. Justin Sheehan, Executive Director of the Lansing Promise explains:

“We are excited to meet the new challenges our community faces by doing things differently, building community within this new normal. We will be reaching out to our past and present supporters, our Promise Community, as we prepare for the fall school year. The hopes and dreams of Lansing’s young people have not stopped, and if anything the support of this community means more now in the midst of crisis than ever before. We believe in the future of Lansing’s young people and we know that this community does too. Finally, I recognize that we are in unprecedented times and we encourage a doubling down of support from this community for the hardworking nonprofit sector to fulfill our collective missions.”
