I’ve been accepted, now what?

Scholarship distribution begins fall semester of 2025. You must begin to use your scholarship within two years of high school graduation and have six years to use all Promise funds you’re awarded.

ACCEPT YOUR PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP ELECTRONICALLY

You will be emailed a link to the acceptance form on January 1, 2025. Scholarship terms/allowances, release and consent are all included in this form and are required for award accessibility. Your high school counselors, Promise Pathfinders and college advisers also have access to the form if needed.

COMPLETE THE FAFSA

You must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) annually to remain eligible for the Lansing Promise scholarship. Since the Lansing Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, all state and federal scholarships/grants will be used first to cover college expenses for the Promise scholarship to then be applied.
