2018 Promise Scholars Set New Records

The Lansing Promise continues to grow, as a record 292 eligible Lansing high school graduates have applied for Promise scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.  That amounts to a 38 percent increase over last year, and a 344 percent increase since 2012, when Lansing Promise awarded its first scholarships.

Overall momentum continues to grow, with this year’s incoming cohort of Promise Scholars keeping up a steady trend of growing program participation throughout the history of Lansing Promise.  We are sure of one thing:  The word is getting out and Lansing high school seniors are buying in.
