Lansing Promise Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements

LANSING PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Students who live, attend, and graduate within the Lansing School District boundaries, 9th—12th grades from a public, private, home, charter, online*, or GED program are potential Promise scholars.

LANSING PROMISE GUARANTEE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Students who live and attend at least one full academic year and graduate from a school within the Lansing School District boundaries.

REQUIREMENTS

Seniors will be notified of their eligibility by Feb. 1st via email with a link to the Lansing Promise acceptance form. To receive the scholarship, students must submit the acceptance form, complete the FAFSA, and apply to a Promise-eligible post-secondary institution or an approved skilled-trade program.

HOMESCHOOL, GED, VIRTUAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND PRE-2024 GRADUATES

Students who have graduated from GED, online/virtual high schools*, homeschool, or graduated in 2024 or earlier need to complete this online application.

*The only online/virtual Lansing Promise eligible partner programs are CAK12 Online Academy, Lansing Learning Hub, Blended Learning Academy, or Success Virtual Learning Centers (south Lansing location only).
